Biography


Hossein Nejati, co-founder and CTO of KroniKare has obtained his BSc in Computer Software and Hardware from Shiraz University, and his PhD in machine learning and image processing from National University of Singapore, and has been a postdoctoral fellow at Singapore University of Technology and Design, and MIT, Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences. During the past 5 years, Hossein has been working alongside academics, scientists, nurses, and medical practitioners in Singapore and the US, publishing 30 papers in the field, and participated in developing core machine learning and data analysis modules in teams of different mix.


KroniKare Company- Founded in Mar 2017, KroniKare modernizes the chronic wound monitoring by bringing automation for human users at each level; automating processes including chronic wound assessment, reporting, and finding trends and patterns. KroniKare Wound Scanner provides fast and accurate assessments, reduces risk of developing complication, allows efficient manpower allocation, and therefore, reduces pain, burden, and cost of managing chronic wounds for patients, nurses, and hospitals. 


As an answer to the COVID-19 pandemic, KroniKare developed iThermo, a mass temperature screening device to detect febrile suspects as they pass by the device.
